Youth running group to meet in Wilton

There will be a free running program for children of all ages from 6–7 p.m. Tuesdays in July.

This supervised event will allow participants to run or walk distances of their choosing in the Wilton Park. Participants will be introduced to warm-up activities and different stretching techniques. There will be a marked course of 400 and 800 meters, which will allow clear sight lines of those involved. Parents/guardians and other adults are welcome to participate as well. This program is designed to encourage youth to get outside and move while enjoying the facilities of the local park.

Dates for this event will be July 7, July 14, July 21, and July 28, with a concluding race on July 31. Attendance at all dates is not necessary. Individuals interested in participating may gather at the gazebo in the park. For additional information, contact Kim Neal Nofsinger at [email protected]
