The Wilton Public Library is giving away a “book love” book bag in February. To be entered in the drawing, write the title of a book you love and your name on a heart. Hearts are available at the library, or you can create your own heart at home to turn in to the library. The drawing will be Friday, Feb. 12, at 2:14 p.m. Love your library.

The Wilton Public Library’s “Love Letter” Valentine coloring contest begins Wednesday, Jan. 20. The contest is open to all ages. Coloring pages can be picked up at the library or printed from the library’s Facebook page. Please submit entries by Wednesday, Feb. 10.

“Snow Place Like Home!” — This winter read and review 10 books between Jan. 6 and March 6 to earn a “Snow Place Like Home” mug with hot chocolate. Read 10 books of any kind, and then write a review or do a picture review for those 10 books. This challenge is available to Wilton Public Library patrons online at https://wilton.beanstack.org/, or paper forms can be picked up at the library.

The second annual Wilton Public Library winter writing contest is officially on! This contest is open to all ages. Write about winter in 500 words or less; compose a story, a poem, or anything you like. A prize will be awarded in both an adult and a youth category. Winning entries will be published in the County Line. Submit entries by Feb. 8 to the Wilton Public Library in duplicate; one copy should include your name, and the other copy should not, as it will be used for judging. Happy winter writing!
