Monroe County today had 22 new Covid-19 cases, bringing its total to 3,439, of which 122 are active (three are hospitalized), 3,290 have recovered, and 27 have died.

A Vernon County resident, a man in his 60s, died from complications of the Covid-19 virus, the health department reported today. It was the county’s 35th since the start of the pandemic.

Also, the county reported 24 new cases, all of whom are recovering at home:

• Two males between 0–9 years old

• Two males between 10–19 years old

• One male in his 20s

• Three males in their 30s

• Two males in their 40s

• One male in his 50s

• Two males in their 60s

• One male in his 70s

• One female between 10–19 years old

• Two females in their 20s

• Four females in their 30s

• Two females in their 50s

• One female in her 60s

Of the county’s cumulative 1,538 cases, 1,366 have recovered, six are hospitalized, 131 are recovering at home, and 35 have died.

Juneau County had 18 new cases today, resulting in a tally of 1,835, of which 127 are active (two are hospitalized), 314 have been released from isolation, 1,384 have recovered, and 10 have died.

In Juneau County, facility cases are counted separately from those in the rest of the county. Both the New Lisbon Correctional Institution and the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center had one new case today.

At the prison, 541 positive inmate tests have been recorded since the Aug. 15 start of the outbreak; of those, five are active and none are hospitalized.

Sand Ridge has had 50 positive tests, of which one is active, since the Dec. 3 beginning of an outbreak. No one at the facility is hospitalized.
