Wayne R. Bolden, 83, of Hillsboro, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at his home.

He was born May 2, 1941, in Wilton, Wis., the son of Neil and Dorothy (Drawver) Bolden.

Wayne was married to Kathryn Miller, and they had three children. They later divorced.

Wayne was united in marriage to Gabriele (Maurer) Jones on Aug. 7, 1998, in Mauston, and they had two children together.

He was raised with Christian values and instilled them in his children. Family was very important to him. He was an active outdoorsman and enjoying hunting, farming and logging. He raised horses and was fond of both trail riding and driving a team on the wagon trains. He also loved to travel with family.

Survivors include his wife, Gabriele; his children, Mary (Doug) Middleton, Tammy (Darrell) Becker, Lucas (Lindsey) Bolden, Stephanie (Wencil) Bloedow, Candice (Brody) Blaha and Thomas (Tessa) Bolden; his grandchildren, Paul, Kurt, Jessica, Jeffrey, Brooke, Dillion, Braelyn, Tucker, Garrett, Maximus, Carson, Benjamin, Lincoln, Walker and Sawyer; 11 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Maureen Jordan, Doug Bolden, Carmen Bulthius and Judy Learn.

Wayne was preceded in death by his infant twin brother, Blaine; his parents; a son, Jeffrey Bolden; a granddaughter, Lillian Blaha; and his siblings, Pauline Olstad, Lamont Bolden, Karon Bolden and Terry Bolden.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at Burr Wesleyan Church in rural Hillsboro, with Rev. Jason Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Billings Creek Cemetery in rural Ontario. A time of visitation will be at the Burr Wesleyan Church on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
