The Vernon County Health Department will host health screenings as part of its community wellness program from 7–11 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital and Clinics in Hillsboro.
A 30-minute visit with a nurse will include screening for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and pulse assessments. Staff will review your results, provide education on heart health, and answer questions.
A $10 dollar donation is requested but not required. Not eating or drinking eight to 12 hours prior to testing is advised for the cholesterol screening portion of the test, but it is not necessary to complete the screening.
Those interested can schedule their appointment by calling the health department at (608) 637-5251, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or online at https://form.jotform.com/231716110707144.
