The Monroe County Health Department reported today that two more county residents had died of Covid-19, bringing the total to 14 since the start of the pandemic.
The health department stated, “Please, let’s honor their memories by doing what we can to stop the spread of Covid-19. Stay home as much as possible, wear a face covering if you must leave home, practice physical distancing, and avoid gathering with people you do not live with. Do it for your friends, your family, your co-workers, and your community.”
Also, the county had 33 new cases today, bringing its total to 2,437, of which 405 are active (11 are hospitalized), 2,018 have recovered, and 14 have died.

Vernon County had 31 new cases today:
• Three males in their 20s who are recovering at home
• Two males in their 30s who are recovering at home
• Two males in their 40s, two of whom are recovering at home and one who is hospitalized
• Three males in their 50s who are recovering at home
• Two males in their 60s who are recovering at home
• A male in his 80s who is recovering at home
• Two females in their 20s who are recovering at home
• Two females in their 30s who are recovering at home
• A female in her 40s who is recovering at home
• A female in her 50s who is hospitalized
• Three females in their 60s who are recovering at home
• Three females in their 70s who are recovering at home
• A female in her 80s who is recovering at home
• Five females 90 or older who are recovering at home
Of the county’s 1,029 positive results, 711 have recovered, 18 are hospitalized, 288 are isolating at home, and 12 have died.

Juneau County reported 12 new cases, resulting in a total of 1,290, of which 286 are active (six are hospitalized), 399 have been released from isolation, 599 have recovered, and six have died.
The New Lisbon Correctional Institute had no new cases and 10 active cases today. It has had 522 cases since the Aug. 15 start of the facility outbreak.
