Todd Schumacher, born Feb. 19, 1974, passed away Jan. 18, 2015, at his home.
He is survived by his parents, Owen Schumacher and Diane Marx of Norwalk; one sister, Amy Schumacher (Virginia Huscha) of Lexington, Ky.; and one brother, Greg Schumacher (girlfriend Abby) of Norwalk.
He attended Norwalk Elementary School and Brookwood High School, located in Ontario. Todd was active in (FFA) Future Farmers of America while in high school. He was a state FFA officer after graduating from high school. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Todd worked in Australia on a dairy farm with beef animals and racehorses and went on a cattle drive, all on an international work program for one year.
In 1996, he moved to Kentucky, where he worked with racehorses. He then went to night school to be an electrician. He earned his master electrician’s license and did many electrical jobs for many different businesses and individuals. He climbed tall radio towers, replacing wiring and light bulbs.
Todd enjoyed karaoke and having fun with his friends, hiking and going on road trips. He was a fun-loving person, always joking and laughing. He liked to pull tricks on people. Todd is sadly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5–7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, followed by a gathering from 7–8 p.m. at the Clark Legacy Center, located at 601 E. Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, located on St. Mary’s Ridge in rural Cashton, with burial on the family farm in rural Norwalk.
