A garbage truck rolled over Friday in the town of Webster, on Bloomington Road, east of W. Salem Ridge Road, according to Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears.
Cory L. Simonson, 40, of rural De Soto was driving a 2008 International garbage truck owned by Southwest Sanitation of Viroqua. While traveling west on Bloomingdale Road and attempting to negotiate a curve, Simonson lost control of the vehicle, which overturned in the middle of the road.
The dispatch center received the 911 call at 11:45 a.m.
Sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, Simonson was transported by ambulance to Vernon Memorial Healthcare. The La Farge Fire Department, the La Farge EMS, and the Town of Webster assisted at the scene.
