A number of burglary complaints were registered over the weekend in the Cashton area, according to Monroe County Sheriff Scott Perkins.
Several Amish families reported that they had been burglarized while they were away at church. Deputies were able to gather enough information to assist other counties, which had similar cases, to make an arrest. Three subjects have been arrested in connection with burglaries in Marquette, Columbia, Vernon and Monroe counties.
Two subjects are being held in the Marquette County Jail, and the third subject has been booked and released. Investigators have recovered guns, money and safes involved in the burglaries.
The case remains under investigation in Columbia, Marquette, Vernon and Monroe counties.
