Ruthann L. Fender, 46, of Wilton passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 11, 1966, to Hullet and Ruthann S. Fender in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Ruthann spent most of her younger years in Florida, relocating to the Wilton area in 2008. She enjoyed camping, fishing, working on cars and anything else mechanical. Ruthann loved her family, and spending any amount of time with them was her greatest joy. From working on projects around the house to lending a helping hand, she was always at her best when surrounded by those she loved and those who loved her. Ruthann was a loving partner, mother, grandmother, godmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Ruthann is survived by her life partner of 14 years, Florence Cinque of Wilton; a son, Allan Perry of Wilton; three grandchildren, Jason A. Perry, Leyton Thompson and Victor A.J. Balhazor; her mother, Ruthann S. Fender; her two sisters, Alexis Fender of Tennessee and Georgina Fender of Florida; and her two godsons, Dillon and Dakota Markell. She is further survived by other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hullet.

Private family services were held per Ruthann’s wishes. The Smith-Nelson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
