Ruby Hazel Willet , 72, of Wilton passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at her home in Wilton.

She was born May 31, 1943, in La Crosse to Carl H. and Amanda C. (Beier) Niemeier.  She worked at the Owls Club as a bar manager in Elgin, Ill., for many years.  Three years ago, she moved to Wilton to live with her sister Donna and Ed Wilde.

Fun followed Ruby wherever she went, from going out to lunch, playing bingo or flying out west.  Despite her Illinois roots, she was a loyal Packer fan whose house was overflowing with green and gold.  Ruby was feisty, full of life, one of a kind and beloved by many.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Karen (Bob) Kaliski of Wells, Nev.; two sisters, Betty (Emery) Leis and Donna (Ed) Wilde; three brothers, James (Janice) Niemeier, Glen (Peggy) Niemeier and Gordon (Kathy) Niemeier; a brother-in-law, Lyle Rueckheim; a sister-in-law, Laura Niemeier; her snuggle buddies, Charlie the dog and kitty Junior; along with many nieces, nephews, a great-niece and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Frank and Louis Willet; her brothers, David, Calvin and Lester “Festus”; and her sisters, Evelyn (Eugene) Stemwedel and Fern Rueckheim.
