Ronald M. Miller, “Ron,” 80, of Sparta, Wis., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis.
He was born on March 22, 1944, in Sparta, Wis., to Otto and Emma (Ziese) Miller. Ron met the love of his life, Julia Winchel, from Norwalk, and they were later married on April 29, 1967.

Professionally, Ron dedicated many years of service as a night supervisor at the Pepsi Cola Company in La Crosse, Wis. His work ethic and leadership were exemplary, and he was well-respected by his colleagues and all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
He was a stinker at heart; Ron had a playful spirit, with a knack for fun pranks and teasing. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a lighthearted quip to lift the spirits of those around him.
Grandpa was most himself roaming near a creek with a fishing pole in hand, bundled up in a deer stand, or walking among the woods where he could hear the rustling of leaves. Fresh air and wildlife allowed his mind to be clear and a break from and a gift to grandma.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Julia; his son Rodney; his daughter, Sheri (Mike) Murak; his grandchildren, Parker, Kristin, and Carson; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Emma, and his sisters and brothers, Gloria Leis, Milfred (Patricia) Miller, and Otto (Charlene) Miller.
