Robert Allan Williams, 65, of Milton, Wis., passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at Agrace Hospice Care in Janesville after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease.

Robert was born Oct. 11, 1951, in Sparta, the son of Robert E. Williams and Emily Mae (Bloor) Williams. He graduated from Brookwood High School in 1969 and enlisted into the U.S. Navy on June 20, 1969. In 1970, Robert received a Navy Letter of Commendation while aboard the U.S.S. Lexington for assisting in the repair of the boilers under extremely adverse conditions. After he was discharged on June 18, 1973, he went on to marry Shelly Parr on Feb. 19, 1977, and they raised their family in Ontario.

Robert worked as a CNA and boiler technician for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tomah and for 16 years at Lear Seating in Janesville. He enjoyed classic cars, including his 1938 Dodge, a good fish fry, antiques and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

Robert is survived by his five children, Christina Copeland of Janesville, Crystal Copeland (David) of Beloit, Catrina (Bill) Schoen, Lincoln (Ali) Williams, and Quentin (Sheila) Williams all of Milton, Wis.; his grandchildren, David, Charisse, Nathaniel, Noelani, Kelsey, Evan, Brianna, Pendora, Rebecca, Faith and Abigail; his great-grandchildren, Adrian and Rowan; his brothers and sisters, Maxine (Al) Sanford, Caroline (Dan) Jurkowski, Paul (Roxie) Williams, James (Melodi) Williams, and Sandra (Paul) Lex; and his sister-in-law, Barb Williams. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emily Williams; a brother, Roger Williams; and his ex-wife, Shelly Williams-Roberts.

A celebration of life visitation will be from 4–6 p.m. Friday, May 5, at the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services in Milton. Robert will be laid to rest at Hilltop Cemetery in Ontario at a later date, alongside his parents.
