Richard George Flock, 63, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center in Sparta.
He was born Sept. 2, 1950, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Steinhoff) Flock in Sparta.
Dickie was born with special needs and lived in several group homes before returning to Sparta in 1994. He made many friends, and he was very proud of the medals that he had won in Special Olympics.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Flock of Wilton; his siblings, Greg (Joanne) Flock of Castle Rock Lake, Wis., Jeannie (Tom) Flesch of Columbus, Ohio, Dan (Janelle) Flock of Wilton, Pat Flock of Wilton, Mary Kiel of Wilton and Nancy (Patrick) McCormick of Madison; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Flock.
The family would like to express a very special thank you to the staff of Rolling Hills for the excellent care and compassion given to Richie over the past 20 years.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wilton. Father David Bruener will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Wilton.
Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
