Richard Dean Stedman, 60, of Ontario died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at his residence in Ontario from natural causes.
He was born Aug. 13, 1955, in Richland Center, the son of Emmett and Betty (Potter) Stedman. Dick graduated from La Farge High School in 1973. Dick worked for Hillsboro Home Improvement for many years. Dick enjoyed life to the fullest; he loved traveling out west, going camping and caving any chance he had. Dick adored his nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them.
Richard is survived by his siblings, Joanne (Jerry) Ebert of Ontario and Roger (Lois) Stedman of Sparta; his sister-in-law, Patti Stedman of Janesville; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Betty; and his brother, David Stedman.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at La Farge Free Methodist Church, with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery.
