Olga Leland, 86, of Westby and formerly of Ontario died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at the Norseland Nursing Home in Westby.
She was born March 23, 1925, in Purdy, Wis., to Otto A. and Nellie E. (Winchel) Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed at Bad Ax Lutheran Church.
Olga was united in marriage to John Leland on June 10, 1950, at the Brush Creek Parsonage, Cashton. She had been a faithful member of the church since 1946. She enjoyed country music and took many trips to Nashville.
She is survived by one son, Larry Leland of Westby; two daughters, Linda (Mike) Hagen and Beverly Leland, both of Westby; three grandchildren, Patricia Hagen of Onalaska, Wis., and John (Julie) Hagen of Coon Valley and Robert (Katie) Hagen, both of Coon Valley; four great-grandchildren, Brett, Haley, Tyler and Hannah Sue; three brothers, August (Mary Ellen) Hanson of Ontario, Orbin (Eunice) Hanson of Viroqua and Otto A. (Bernice) Hanson Jr. of Viroqua; three sisters, Ona Berge, Betty Bolton and Bonnie Hanson, all of Viroqua; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Otto and Nellie; one daughter, Judy Leland; and one sister, Leona Berg.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Brush Creek Lutheran Church, near Cashton. Pastor John Stennes-Spidahl will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, and at the church one hour prior to services Tuesday.
