This morning, demolition started on one of Norwalk’s oldest structures, the Schreier building on Main Street. The remains of the building will be ground and hauled away tomorrow, and the project will be finished by tomorrow night. The existence of the building was first documented in 1873, and, at various times, it had served as a wagon factory, bank, church, John Deere dealership, and newspaper office.
