Norwalk Lions sell raffle tickets, proceeds go to N-O-W schools

Contributed by the N-O-W School District — Norwalk Lions Club members Phil Haun, Glen (Ope) Degenhardt, and Mike Karis, as well as Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District administrator Travis Anderson, recently accepted a check for $12,300 from the Morrie’s Auto Truck Raffle. (The lucky winner of the Chevy truck was from Wausaukee, Wis.)

Morrie’s Auto graciously contributed an additional $200 to make the total donation to our district $12,500. The money raised is tentatively planned to be used for our building constructing class to construct an outdoor pavilion that can be used by all students, teachers, and community members as an outdoor classroom.

We would like to send a huge THANK YOU to area businesses, the Norwalk Lions Club, and everyone who helped sell raffle tickets to raise such a large sum of money to benefit our school.

We also want to extend our thanks to Morrie’s Auto for sponsoring the raffle. The truck raffle raised over $78,000 for local schools.
