Mildred E. Wiedl, 79, of Norwalk passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare in Sparta.
Millie was born May 30, 1931, to George W. and Marie Anna (Lawrence) Wiedl at St. Mary’s Hospital in Sparta. Millie worked as a registered nurse for more than 50 years at St. Mary’s Hospital, now Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, in Sparta.
Millie is survived by her sisters, Patricia Miller of Sparta, Jean Wiedl of Norwalk and Carol (William) Heller of Carol, Iowa; her brothers, Tony (Marie) Wiedl of Norwalk and Richard (Louise) Wiedl of Onalaska, Wis.; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lawrence “Fritz” Wiedl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Norwalk. Father Keith Kitzhaber will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation at the church from 4–7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.
