An accident occurred at about 1:51 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at the intersection of Knapp Valley Road and Alderman Road in the town of Clinton, according to Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears.
The Vernon County 911 communications received a call from a passerby who reported that a vehicle was in the ditch and was possibly occupied. When deputies arrived, the operator, Zach Bohland, was unconscious behind the wheel, and officers woke him. It appeared Bohland had backed his vehicle down Alderman Road before losing control and getting hung up on a culvert.
Bohland had been wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags had not deployed.
Possibly sustaining injuries, Bohland was transported to Vernon Memorial Hospital by LaFarge EMS.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
