A 23-year-old Viroqua man fled the scene July 30 after striking a utility pool in Ontario.
Max Dach was traveling west on W. South Street, near Lincoln Street, when he crossed the center line, entered the ditch, and hit the pole. The incident was reported at about 6 p.m.
The Ontario First Responders and the Ontario Fire Department responded to the scene, along with the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the crash.
