Republican Wes Revels defeated a field of three other candidates in Tuesday’s primary and will run against Democrat Jeff Schwanz in November.

Revels received 1,661 votes; Ron Waddell, 1,265; Jeremy Likely, 1,014; and Rick Dickenson, 163.

Also, Democrat Paul Buhr defeated Alicia Leinberger for the 96th Assembly District seat (1,971 to 1,604).
