Linda J. Jones, 65, of Chilton, Wis., passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Aug. 2, 2024.
She was born March 17, 1959, the daughter of Manny and the late Betty Herzig. She married Gary Jones in International Falls, Minn., before they settled in Chilton and raised their family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Gary; her children, Holly Jones (Andres Noubleau), Lindsay (Adrian) Ortega Zapata, and Patrick Jones (Marianna Bernoni); her grandchildren, Violeta Noubleau Jones, Valeria Noubleau Jones, Eva Marina Noubleau Jones, and Isabela Ortega; her father, Manny Herzig; her siblings, Lori (Jim) Priegnitz, Gregg (Brenda) Herzig, Diane Rossini, and Tom (Jill) Herzig; her in-laws, Donna (Dave) Heilman, Vicky (Bob) Muellenberg, and Shirley Gibson; and many nieces, nephews and other family.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Herzig; Gary’s parents, Don and Ruby Jones; her brother-in-law, Tony Rossini; and three nephews, Jeffrey Heilman, Adam Gibson and Joseph Rossini.
The visitation and memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m., and the memorial service will follow starting at 1 p.m.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Calumet County Medical Center and Calumet County Hospice for their excellent care and compassion toward Linda and her family.
