LaVerne William Rudi, 77, of Cashton passed away July 28, 2020, at Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua. He was born April 2, 1943, to the late Leonard and Josephine (Schaub) Rudi.
LaVerne was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed working and tending the family land. He also loved being in the woods with his dog, Buddy. LaVerne had a huge toy tractor collection set up in his home for everyone to enjoy. He loved to surprise his nephew by giving him a tractor for a gift. During his short stay at Norseland Nursing Home, LaVerne was fortunate to make several good friends.
LaVerne is survived by his siblings, Kathy Jennerjahn of Greenville, Wis., Arnold (Roberta) Rudi of Viola, Wis., Marlene (Bob) Coggeshall of Madisonville, Tenn., and Leonard (Kala) Rudi of Cashton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
LaVerne was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister, JoAnne; his other sisters, Caroline Smith and Diana Rudi; and his brother-in-law, Paul Jennerjahn.
LaVerne’s family is planning a celebration of his life at a later date. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton is assisting the family.
