The Kickapoo Valley Reserve will host a copper-bullet demonstration Saturday, Sept. 19.
DNR Wildlife Management staff members Scott Walter and Dan Goltz will discuss the pros and cons of copper bullets for hunting, with a demonstration to follow. Attendees are encouraged to bring their rifles and current lead-core bullets.
Two sessions will be offered, the first from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the second from 12–2 p.m.
Attendees must preregister and indicate rifle caliber to ensure presenters supply correct copper bullets. Email kickapoo.reserve@krm.state.wi.us or call (608) 625-2960 to register. Due to Covid-19, only eight people can attend the talk/demonstration per session.
The program is free and brought to you by the Kickapoo Valley Reforestation (Nuzum) Fund, the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Agricultural & Life Sciences, and the Friends of the KVR.
