The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is holding its Creative Communities Canvas Project, a community art project involving about 350 artists of all ages and talents. The event is open to everyone.
Participants receive a 6-inch-by-6- inch art canvas to artistically interpret the following word as it pertains to nature: “regeneration.”
There is no cost to be a participating artist, and canvases are available at the following locations:
• Kickapoo Valley Reserve Visitor Center – La Farge
• Lawton Memorial Library – La Farge
• Bekkum Memorial Library – Westby
• McIntosh Library – Viroqua
• Soldiers Grove Public Library
• Readstown Public Library
• Cashton Memorial Library
• Elroy Public Library
• Norwalk Public Library
• Ontario Public Library
• Hillsboro Public Library
All canvases must be returned to the KVR Visitor Center or a participating library by Feb. 21. Canvases will ultimately be offered on a public online auction, with proceeds to benefit public education programs and land stewardship projects on the KVR.
