Kim A. Oium, 54, of rural La Farge passed away unexpectedly and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.
Kim was born Dec. 16, 1968, in Viroqua, Wis., to Ronald and Kathleen (Muller) Leatherberry. She grew up in Evansville and moved to Ontario, Wis., graduating with the class of 1987. She married Joseph Oium on April 27, 1991, at Faith Independent Baptist Church in Ontario. They celebrated 32 years of marriage.
Kim loved walking and hiking at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and Wildcat Mountain State Park. She enjoyed her family get-togethers every Tuesday night, when she and the family would visit and share in time together with treats and multiple pots of coffee. Kim had a fondness for spoiling her grandchildren and always had treats for them in the treat box. She took great pride in her work at the Kickapoo Valley Ranch guest cabins.
Grammy will be greatly missed by her family and friends until we see her again. Blessed be our memories of Kim Oium.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Oium; her children, Dustin (Jade) Oium and Emily (Jacob) Thies; five grandchildren, Brigg, Raelyn, Ivy, Bear, and Kieran; her siblings, Tammy (Pastor Michael) Gjefle, Wayne (Linda) Leatherberry, and Lisa (Geno) Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, at Faith Independent Baptist Church in Ontario. Pastor Mike Gjefle will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Kim will be laid to rest at Bear Creek Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
