Kevin was born to parents Errol D. Walker and DeLores E. Walker at Carswell AFB, Texas, on June 23, 1965.
Kevin was called home by his Lord and Savior on Oct. 13, 2023.
Kevin lived in several states growing up, including Texas, Iowa, Alaska, Louisiana, and California.
Kevin lived in San Antonio from 10 years old through college. He graduated from Judson High School in May 1983 and attended Southwest Texas State University and San Antonio College with an associate’s degree in business.
Kevin moved to California in 1990 and worked for Vons and Sysco as an order selector for large grocery chains and restaurant supplies for a period of 13 years. He later moved to Wisconsin and worked for Walmart as an order selector for a period of three years. He transferred back to Texas to be closer to family and friends. He finished his working years for Valero Oil and the Army Retirement Residence Center. He medically retired in 2019.
Kevin enjoyed yard work and planting flowers and took great pride in his home. He enjoyed biking, walking his dog Choppers, watching pro and college football on TV, and helping his mom. He loved discussing spiritual things, politics, and football.
Kevin accepted the Lord as his Savior in l973 at Burleson Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas, and later was baptized there. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Converse, Texas.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Errol D. Walker and DeLores E. Sanders; his uncle, Gordon Johnson; his aunts, Diane Johnson, Linda Ott, Theresa Johnson and Lynda Johnson; and many cousins.
A memorial service will be New Life Baptist Church, 101 North St., Converse, Texas, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, with a visitation at 1 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow for immediate family and close friends at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
