The Kendall Public Library’s next movie night will be on Friday, May 14, at the St. John’s Church fellowship hall.
The movie, “The Reading Room,” will be shown beginning at 6:30 p.m.James Earl Jones stars as a wealthy businessman who has just lost his wife. He decides to make good on a promise he made her by opening a free reading room in an inner-city neighborhood where he grew up. Despite his good intentions, problems in the neighborhood threaten his establishment.
Free pop, popcorn and bagged chips will be available. If this movie sounds familiar, it was originally scheduled to be shown last November, but due to Covid, we had to postpone it.
