Jonathan L. Smith, 37, of Wilton passed away Monday, May 17, 2010, at his home.
He was born May 31, 1972, to Lyle and Joyce (Frederick) Smith in Hillsboro. He was a 1990 graduate of Royall High School. Jon was a hard worker and owned his own construction company.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and hunting. Jon was proud to have built his home with his wife Amy outside of Wilton. More than anything, he loved spending time with his son. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Smith of Kendall; his father, Lyle Smith of Mauston; a son, Noah Smith, and Noah’s mother, Lisa Green; three sisters, Sue (Kevin) Riley of Mauston, Toni (Jeff) Smith-Jensen of La Crosse and Sandy (Paul) Hoppmann of Wilton; nine nieces and nephews, Brian, William, Keith and Maureen Riley, Samantha, Hannah and Matthew Smith, and Christopher and Austin Hoppmann; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Smith, and his grandparents, George and Eleanor Frederick and Lester and Lena Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 21, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kendall. Father Richard Dickman will officiate. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Kendall. Family and friends are invited for visitation at the church from 4–7 p.m. Thursday, May 20, and one hour prior to services Friday.
