Jerry A. Johnson
Jerry A. Johnson, 53, of Elroy passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at his home in Elroy.
He was born Nov. 29, 1961, to John and Jackie (Preuss) Johnson in Hillsboro. He grew to adulthood in Elroy and attended Royall High School.
Jerry worked in the Elroy area, with several years at Royall Furnaces. He enjoyed many things in life, including the outdoors, tinkering on cars, cutting wood, watching Packers games with friends, and old black and white television shows. He was always willing to help people and truly loved spending time with his daughter.
Survivors include his daughter, Jewel; his mother, Jackie Schumann of Elroy; his siblings, Jeff (Sue) of Elroy, Jim (Brenda) of Elroy, Judy (Dennis) Dougherty of Sparta and June (Wyatt) Johnson of Ontario; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and his dog, Snuggles. He was preceded in death by his father, John Johnson, and stepfather, Kenneth Schumann.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be Saturday, Oct. 17, at the American Legion Hall in Elroy, with a gathering of his family and friends from 3–8 p.m.
