Jack O. Collins was born to eternal life Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at age 74.

Jack leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Ruth (nee Olson).

He was a great dad to daughters Barbara (Scott) Redzinski, Laurie (Tracy) Wachowiak and Christine (Roger) Willms and a dear grandpa to Joshua and Joseph Redzinski, Erica and Kaley Wachowiak and Nolan Willms.

He is survived and sorely missed by brother Pat (Delores) Collins and sisters Bonnie McPherson and Bunny (John) Schallerhorn.

He is further survived by our adoptive family, Peggy Heinecke, Mandie (Brian) and Allison Jorgensen.

Jack enjoyed sharing time with other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his infant son; his parents, Orv and Garnett; his sister Marie; and his brother-in-laws, Floyd and Bill.

Jack was born and raised in Ontario. After marriage, they moved to Milwaukee, where they raised their daughters until moving to Muskego, Wis. Jack made a career as a welder for the Milwaukee Railroad (Soo Line) for 40 years, until his retirement.

Jack enjoyed hunting with his buddies and best friends John and Art. Jack was most happy spending time with Ruth and his family. He enjoyed listening to country music and shared a love for guns and John Wayne movies. Jack will always be known as a great storyteller and was most proud of his daughters and grandkids.

A memorial service was at Jackson Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee on Thursday, Feb. 18. An inurnment will be held this summer in Portland, Wis.
