The next State of Wisconsin biennial (two-year) budget is in the final stages of development in Madison and will go into effect in July 2017.
On Thursday, May 18, State Sen. Kathleen Vinehout (D-Alma), and a potential candidate for governor in 2018, will visit Viroqua to speak about the biennial budget, state spending priorities and ways to bridge the gap between revenues and a vast array of competing priorities.
The title of her talk is “Start with What’s Real.” She will speak at the Rooted Spoon, 215 S. Main St., at 6 p.m.
Vinehout’s presentation is free and open to the public.
