Do you have an idea but aren’t sure if it’s a great opportunity? Are you ready to start a business but are having trouble with developing a plan? Are you in business, but things aren’t going the way you thought? Are you growing faster than expected and want to make sure you are considering the impact of that growth?

At the next Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club meeting in Viroqua, you can learn how to launch a strong, successful company and how to put together the pieces you need for faster and better growth. Find out about resources that will help you manage your business and keep customers coming back.

The speaker will be Terri Urbanek, a business counselor and outreach specialist at the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  She is involved in the development, promotion and provision of business counseling services, with a special emphasis on financial and business planning.  She also is responsible for planning, promoting and managing the center’s business-education outreach activities.

In 2016, Urbanek worked with more than 250 clients, helping them develop a business plan with a full set of financial projections. Twenty-seven of those clients went on to open their businesses.

Plan to attend at the Food Enterprise Center, 1201 N. Main St. in Viroqua, on Wednesday, Aug. 9. Networking starts at 5:30 p.m.; the program begins at 6 p.m.

The I&E club is organized jointly by Vernon Economic Development Association and Viroqua Chamber Main Street. For more information, contact Sue Noble at snoble@veda-wi.org or 638-8332 or Nora Roughen-Schmidt at nrschmidt@viroqua-wisconsin.com or 637-2575.

The meetings are free, and no reservations are required. Whether you have an idea or just like to think business, join us for a dynamic evening of networking with lots of creative people. Plan to attend. Everyone is welcome.
