Gundersen St. Joseph’s will host free health screenings in the lower level of the Wonewoc Public Library from 7–11 a.m. Thursday, May 17.

The screenings will consist of a free cholesterol panel and fasting blood-sugar test. Individuals can also have their blood pressure checked by a registered nurse and talk privately about their test results.

Other medical staff will be on hand to provide information regarding staying fit, weight management, cancer prevention, stress management, nutrition and quitting smoking.

Cholesterol and fasting blood-sugar tests require nine hours of fasting prior to taking the test. Free health screenings last about 20 minutes and are by appointment only. A limited number of appointments are available, so participants are encouraged to call early. For more information or to make an appointment, call (608) 489-8280.
