Glenda G. Huschka, 85, of Elroy, Wis., passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro.

She was born March 1, 1939, the daughter of Antony and Maxine (Severson) Garwy in Hillsboro. Glenda graduated from the Elroy High School in 1957 where she participated in cheerleading and was a majorette with the band. She then attended cosmetology school and worked in that field in Beloit for a few years.

Glenda was united in marriage to Charles D. Huschka on Aug. 29, 1959, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elroy.

For many years, they lived in the Elroy area, where she served as an EMT for the Elroy Area Ambulance Service, worked at C & C Liquidators and became an assistant with the Bashirian Dental Office in Elroy. She also enjoyed making floral arrangements, painting and drawing.

Survivors include her husband, Charles D. “Chuck” Huschka; her son, Charles A. “Chuckie” Huschka, and her daughter, Camilla E. “Cam” Huschka, and partner, David A. Gerke, all of Elroy; and a grandson, Charles Winter “Charlie” Huschka, and his fiancée, Greta Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antony and Maxine Garwy, and a sister, Sandra Garwy.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elroy, with a time of visitation from 10–11 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Elroy.
