“Truly my soul waiteth upon God, from Him cometh my salvation: He is my defence, I shall not be greatly moved.” (Psalm 62:1, 2)

My wife’s mother passed away a few years ago, and she had written in the front of her Bible this statement that she had heard somewhere: “Skeptics say Christians need a crutch. We are thankful we have a solid rock.” What a though to ponder in an uncertain and changing world! Is your life on God’s solid rock? “Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe He is precious.” (1 Peter 2:6, 7)

Oh, to believe and trust in God’s Son leads one to a life that can be lived on God’s solid rock, which is the Lord Jesus Christ. We have a sin problem we cannot fix, yet God’s forgiveness is found in our repentance from sin and a personal faith in Jesus Christ. God’s Word, the Bible, directs us to a life of faith as we follow the Savior.

Oh, trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for God’s forgiveness and follow Him daily in accordance to His Word, the Bible. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:27, 28)
