Geraldine Mary Flock, 85, of Norwalk passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.
Geraldine was born Oct. 23, 1925, to William and Elizabeth (Karl) Flock in the town of Ridgeville on Summit Ridge. She was a 1944 graduate of Norwalk High School. In 1959, she moved to Janesville and worked there for 31 years, cleaning private homes and businesses. In 1990, she moved back to Norwalk, where she lived in the Norcrest Apartments until she moved to the Morrow Memorial Home in Sparta in 2009.
Geraldine was very social and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She loved spending time at the Norwalk Senior Nutrition Site and looked forward to playing a good game of cards. If there was a game going on somewhere, Geraldine would find it and join in.
She is survived by her brother, Rich (Rose) Flock of Sparta; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Flock of Foreston, Ill., Charlotte Flock of Janesville and Cecile Flock of Norwalk; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bernard, Paul, Jerome, Albert and Jim Flock; a sister, Mary Arzt, and her husband, Alois Arzt; and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Flock.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summit Ridge. Father Keith Kitzhaber will officiate. Burial will follow at the St. Augustine Cemetery, Norwalk. The Torkelson Page-Smith Funeral Home of Norwalk is assisting the family with arrangements.
