Elroy Woman’s Club
New “Welcome To Elroy” signs will soon be installed on each state highway coming into the city. Thanks to recent donations by the children of Tommy and Sue Ann Thompson, the Woman’s Club Sign Fund surpassed the $15,000 goal.
Yard Effects has been contracted to build stone columns for mounting each sign. A target dedication date has tentatively been set to coincide with the Apple Dumpling Day festivities in September.
The Woman’s Club Sign Committee members noted the enthusiasm they had encountered from businesses and area citizens as the key to the success of their fundraising efforts.
