Donnaphee Mary Murray, 77, of Kendall died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Tomah Memorial Hospital in Tomah.
She was born Dec. 11, 1931, in Mauston to Carl and Marie (Gallagher) Eberhardt and graduated from Kendall High School in 1949. On Dec. 1, 1951, Donnaphee was united in marriage to Hugh Murray at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kendall. She lived in Chicago for seven years, and, 1958, she moved back to Kendall, where she was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Parish Council of Catholic Women and Jolly Janes Homemakers, plus she was general leader of Kendall Rural Routers 4-H and sewing leader for 4-H.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh “Bug” Murray of Kendall; three children, Judy Murray (Dwight Vimont) of Lake Mills, Wis., Cheryl (Greg) Scheeter of Kendall and Tom (Denise) Murray of Kendall; and five grandchildren, Luke, Nate, Erica, Joshua and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kendall, with Father Richard Dickman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4–8 p.m. Friday, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, and one hour prior to services Saturday.
