Donna Jean Passe, 69, of Cashton passed away at her home Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022. Donna was born to James and Mary Margaret (Bentz) Miller in Remsen, Iowa, on June 1, 1953.

After graduating from high school, Donna moved to Minneapolis to become a flight attendant. However, love changed her plans. Donna married Patrick Passe on Sept. 14, 1971. Together they raised four children in Montgomery, Minn., and then later divorced but remained friends.

Donna had a special bond with her late uncle, Jerry. She actually passed away on his birthday. She was his caretaker and dear friend for many years in Orange City, Iowa, where they enjoyed thrifting and attending local concerts. Donna moved to the Cashton area five years ago to be closer with her grandchildren. She loved taking them to swim lessons, spoiling them, and treating them to ice cream. She had true love for Elvis, reading James Patterson or Nora Roberts novels, and planting flowers and hanging baskets. Donna enjoyed the summer months most, truly appreciating the high temps that others often disliked.

Donna is survived by her four children, Dawn Passe of Mankato, Minn., Cole Passe of La Crosse, Grady (Kari) Passe of Norwalk, and Sean Passe of Elko, Minn.; four brothers, Jeff (Judy) Miller of Cherokee, Iowa, Rick (Shelia) Miller of Marcus, Iowa, Larry Miller of Remsen, Iowa, and Dave Miller of Remsen, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Kora, Fayth and Emmi of Norwalk and Quinn, Gabe, Chase, and Savannah of La Crosse; along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on St. Mary’s Ridge, rural Norwalk, Wis. Father Michael Klos will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation Thursday, March 10, from 5–7 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton. Visitation will also be held Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
