Donalee J. Cass, 76, of rural Hillsboro passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at her home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1940, to Donald and Elaine (Standiford) Myers in Hillsboro. Donalee graduated from Ontario High School. She was married to Donald Stedman and they had two children, Shawn and Lisa.
She lived in Janesville for several years, where she worked as a teacher’s aide.
Donalee was united in marriage to Leonard Lyle Cass on Aug. 14, 1983.
They lived on the farm in Cass Valley and later moved to their home on Burr Ridge, where she enjoyed her flowers, making floral arrangements and spending time with family. She also worked at MECA Sportswear, the Lutheran Home, Floral Shop, and Hardware Store.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard L. Cass; her mother, Elaine Myers; her daughter, Lisa Eness; her grandchildren, Shyla Jensen, Cole Stedman, Luke Eness and Ty Eness; her great-grandchildren, Jessie Jensen, Noah Burmaster and Toby Eness; and her brother, Tom (Loreen) Myers. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald, and her son, Shawn Stedman.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Burr Wesleyan Church in rural Hillsboro, with Rev. Alan Tripp and Rev. Jason Kirkpatrick officiating.
