Diane Chambers, 48, of Wilton passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Diane was born Feb. 5, 1965, to Tony and Marie (Hansen) Wiedl. She was a 1983 graduate of Brookwood High School. Diane was united in holy matrimony to Christopher Chambers on Oct. 12, 1985, at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Norwalk. Together they had three children. Diane worked at Toro for 19 years.
Diane loved being with family and friends; going bowling and fishing were a few of her favorite pastimes. She also loved her garden and her little dog Rufus. Diane was a sparkplug in everyone’s world and would brighten up a room when she entered it. Diane loved life in the sassiest way possible and adored her family to the fullest. She was a fighter, courageous and strong.
Diane is survived by her husband, Chris of Wilton; her mother, Marie Wiedl of Norwalk; her daughter, Jessica of La Crosse; her sons, Jason and Jared of Wilton; her siblings, Bob (Tammy) Wiedl of Sparta, Mike (Richelle) Wiedl of Norwalk, and Linda (Chris Organ) Byars of Norwalk; her grandmother, Margaret Hansen of Sparta; an aunt, Jean Wiedl of Norwalk; her mother-in-law, Kathy Chambers of Wilton; her birth mother, Pat Ford of Stevens Point, Wis.; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Tony Wiedl; her aunt, Millie Wiedl; her uncle, Fritz Wiedl; her grandfather, Art Hansen; and her father-in-law, Harley Chambers.
A Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wilton. Father Richard Dickman officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah assisted the family with arrangements. The family requests memorials may be given to the Tomah Hospice Touch or the Tomah Area Cancer Society in Diane’s name.
