The Wilton Public Library is seeking a Library Assistant. The ideal candidate would be able to lead early childhood programs and assist with other programming in our library. This position involves circulation services, using the WISCAT database & maintaining patron records. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and computer skills including word processing, database and Internet searching skills, knowledge of eBooks and tablets and the ability to teach and share technical skills and knowledge. Additional skills desired include excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, the ability to work without supervision and a high degree of discretion regarding confidential and sensitive information. Light cleaning duties are also expected. This position is 15 hours per week and includes split shifts as well as some Saturday hours. Resumes should include experience working with young children.
