Cedric R. Fitch Sr., 76, of rural Hillsboro passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, at his home, with his family.
He was born March 28, 1938, to Max and Berneice (Brey) Fitch in Hillsboro. He graduated from Hillsboro High School. After graduation, he went to work in Milwaukee, later moving back to Hillsboro to farm.
Cedric was united in marriage to Myrtle Allen on Dec. 31, 1966, in Ohio. He worked at Badger Ordnance and Hillsboro Cement. The last 20 years, he was a truck driver, until he retired three years ago.
He enjoyed taking long drives with his wife, going out to eat, visiting with friends and family and playing with the grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife, Myrtle; his children, Cedric Jr. (Debbie) of Reedsburg, Dennis of Sauk City, Cheryl (George) Bruce of Hillsboro and Brian of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Samantha, Micaela, Jacob, Cody, Cedric Allen – “his buddy,” Tony and Sarah; three great-grandchildren, Maycee, Junior and Matthew; and two brothers, Budde (Pat) of Hillpoint and Peter (Cindy) of Elroy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, an infant, Paul and Kevin; and a sister, Sharon Seekamp.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Hillsboro Wesleyan Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
