Catherine Tunks Cruz, 65, of Elroy passed away with her loving family by her side Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.
Catherine was born April 19, 1944, to Clarence and Viola (Glumpsky) Tunks in Norwalk.
Catherine had a love for beautiful things. She created many kinds of crafts, such as plastic canvas wind chimes, family signs, welcome signs and birdhouses. Catherine loved feeding the hummingbirds and bird watching. She looked forward to playing a good game of Yahtze and Skip Bo with her family. She will be sadly missed.
Catherine is survived by her children, Pamela (Jeff) Starr of Arizona, Jeffrey (Anne) Steinbrink of Arizona, James Steinbrink of Madison, Michael (Trisha) Steinbrink of Wilton, Debra (Michael Becker) of Elroy, Amy (Hareld Schmidt) of Sparta, and Daniel (Tammy Lietzau) Steinbrink of Sparta; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Frank, Charles, Joyce, Steve and Linda; a special friend, Robert Rose; many other relatives; dear friends; and her dog, Peanut, and her cat, Tigger.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Viola; and one sister, Norma.
