Bruce J. “Brucie” Bolden, 55, a longtime Edgerton, Wis., resident, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, unexpectedly but peacefully at his home, with his loving family at his side.

The son of Russell Bolden and the late Glenys (DeWitt) Bolden, he was born Feb. 27, 1955, in Sparta. He was united in marriage to Tammy Hanewall on April 20, 1985, at the United Methodist Church, Edgerton.

Bruce owned and loved muscle cars and restoring them. He enjoyed car cruising, fishing, taking naps and was an avid motorcyclist. He truly loved spending time relaxing with his family and friends and living in Edgerton. He was also known as a practical joker, especially around his family. Bruce would do anything for anyone, and, as his last act of kindness, he was an organ donor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Tammy, one son, Bruce Jon Jr. of Edgerton; two daughters, Bailey and Bobby Bolden, both of Edgerton; his father, Russell Bolden of Ontario; three sisters, Lana (Terry) Sullivan of Janesville, Vicki (David) Engler of Milton, Wis., and Kathy Pope of Wilton; three brothers, Larry (Deb) McKee of Hot Springs, S.D., Tom (Julie) Bolden of Edgerton and Kurt (Laura) Bolden of Sparta; his mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Hanewall; four brothers-in-laws; five sisters-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenys Bolden; his father-in-law, Bob Hanewall; and his brother-in-law, Mark Hanewall.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, at the United Methodist Church, Edgerton, with tRev. Jean Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in the Sweet Cemetery. Friends may call on from 4–8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ehlert Funeral Home, S. Hwy. 51, Edgerton, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
