Years ago, students flooded the streets of Norwalk, Ontario, and Wilton each spring, assisting these communities with a variety of tasks.
Overwhelmed with the amount of support they have received over the past few years, Brookwood band students and their director, Mr. Josh Curtis, decided it was time to give back to those who have been so gracious and supportive of their endeavors.
On Thursday, April 27, band students will be back on the streets of Norwalk, Ontario, and Wilton to help prepare the communities for summer. Mr. Curtis said that about 30 students will be sent to each village and that he now has only a handful of adult chaperones to help supervise the children. Physical labor is not necessary on the part of the chaperones. The additional adults are needed merely to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
If able and willing to help supervise, please contact Mr. Curtis at 337-4401, ext. 257, or jcurtis@now.k12.wi.us by April 14.
