Audrey Lucille Jacobson, 87, of Wilton died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Sunset Ridge Assisted Living.
She was born June 23, 1925, to John “Jack” and Mabel (Burdick) Creviston in Kinney Valley. She was united in marriage to Vernal “Jake” Jacobson on July 27, 1946, in Richland Center. He preceded her in death June 9, 1980. They farmed in Richland Center for six years. In 1952, they moved to Harvard, Ill., and in 1969, they moved to Wilton. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a member of the American Legion Post 508 Ladies Auxiliary. Her favorite pastime was cooking for her family and entertaining everyone at her house. She worked as a cook at the Little Audrey CafĂ© in Wilton.
She is survived by a daughter, Alona Schultz of Kendall; a son, Ervin (Shirley) Jacobson of West Salem; four grandchildren, Brian Schultz of Fond du Lac, Wis., Robert Schultz of Elroy, Lynette (Eric) Hart of Gustavus, Alaska, and James Jacobson of West Salem; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany Warner of Sparta, Brandi (Louis) Perez of Sparta, Daniel Schultz (Tiffany Rodriguez) of New Lisbon, Devon Schultz and Brooke Schultz, both of La Crosse, Gabriella Schultz of Fond du Lac, Olivia Schultz of Elroy, and Marin Hart and Madelyn Hart of Gustavus; a great-great-grandchild; an expected great-great grandchild; three sisters, Mazie Haseley and Delores Worden, both of Tomah, and Frances Schanhofer of Sparta; and nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernal; three brothers, Phillip, Wayne, and Wayland “Buck” Creviston; and four sisters, Dorothy Williams, Mary Rahdans, Ruth Hardy and Margaret Dankert.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wilton. Pastor Kathleen Wohlers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Wilton. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.
