Addison Arndt

Brookwood High School senior Addison Arndt is among the 207 students statewide who have received $5,000 Herb Kohl Foundation Excellence Scholarships this year.

Also Brookwood’s 2017 valedictorian, Arndt intends to major in agriculture economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Brookwood principal Brad Pettit said, “Addison has always been a very hard worker in everything he does and never gives less than 100 percent.  He is a talented drama performer, great in forensics and FFA speaking events and excels in the classroom.  It’s a great honor earning the 2017 Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship for Addison and his family and well deserved!”

According to the Herb Kohl Foundation, “Excellence Scholarship recipients have demonstrated excellence in the academic arena and high motivation to achieve, have displayed a broad range of activity and leadership outside the academic setting, and have shown strong promise for succeeding in college and beyond.”

Arndt will be honored at a Herb Kohl Educational Foundation recognition luncheon slated for Sunday, April 30, at North High School in Eau Claire.

He is the son of Lori and Joel Arndt of rural Ontario.
